Ludovic Lantier is Executive Chef with The Butler’s Pantry where he oversees a team of talented chef’s and bakers. The Butler’s Pantry menus are designed around seasonal ingredients using the abundance of wonderful Irish produce that is available throughout the year. The state of the art kitchens in Bray, Co Wicklow provide delicious and fresh food to nine shops around Dublin as well as catering for corporate and private events.
Ludo worked in the Ritz-Carlton International as Executive Pastry Chef for over 7 years. During this time he travelled to Austria, Israel and Japan to open hotels and set up their pastry operations. He also spent two years at The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain running an exclusive pastry and chocolate shop and restaurants on behalf of the King of Bahrain. He organised presidential banquets and diplomatic meetings for the Royal Family of Bahrain.
Along with his Irish wife and baby son he settled in Ireland in 2015. He joined Dylan McGrath as Group Executive Pastry Chef where he was tasked with creating exciting and innovative menus for new restaurants. He moved to Bewley’s as the Head Chef for the opening of Bewleys’ Café on Grafton St. He was involved in designing the kitchens as well as creating a menu and dishes that kept the heritage of Bewley’s with a modern flair.
He then joined the team at The Butler’s Pantry in 2018 where he has enjoyed refining recipes, building a network of best in class suppliers, improving production and more. He is delighted to be part of an exciting time in The Butler’s Pantry as the catering and retail business grows and develops.
