Edward Hayden is a chef and food writer and is very well-known to audiences from his weekly cookery slots on TV3’s Ireland AM. He is the resident cookery columnist in Woman’s Way magazine now for the last three years, inspiring thousands of readers with his no-fuss approach to cookery.

Edward works as a culinary lecturer in Waterford Institute of Technology and regularly guest lectures in An Grianán, the Irish Countrywomen’s Association Adult Education Centre, as well as hosting a wide range of fundraising cookery demonstrations throughout the country.

In 2008 Edward self-published his first cookery book, ‘Edward Entertains’ and in 2011 he published ‘Food to Love’ with The O’Brien Press which quickly featured in the top 5 Irish best sellers before being awarded the prestigious Kerry Food Book of the Year. Edward’s third book, ‘Food for Friends’ also with The O’ Brien Press was published in 2013 and he is currently putting the finishing touches to his next book, due for release at the end of this year.

Edward finds himself involved in a variety of different ventures and in 2014 he was crowned the winner and ‘King of the Knitters’ in the celebrities knitting challenge at the Knit & Stitch show in the RDS. He is also the brand ambassador for Volkswagen with Lahart’s garage in Kilkenny.

Edward has been involved with Taste of Dublin for the last five years in various different roles and also had his own ‘Edward’s Festive Desserts’ stand at Taste of Christmas 2012.

2015 saw the opening of the ‘Edward Hayden Cookery School’ in his native Co. Kilkenny and classes are available all year round.
